What is the Level System?
The level system is one of the core concepts of Tribeca ColorSalon. It allows our clients a choice that most other salons don’t offer. Every stylist begins as an apprentice that works through a rigorous training schedule. When they move onto the floor as a stylist they begin as a TYRO level, $15 cuts for men and $25 cuts for women. They have certain goals to reach, and as they increase in skill level and repertoire they go up in level and go up in price in $5 increments. The levels are Tyro 1,2,3; Crafter 1,2,3; Artisan 1,2,3; and Maestro 1,2,3. Our top haircut price is $80.
We always announce level changes to our clients through social media and signage in the salon. Tyros are evaluated for level change every 3 months; Crafter and above is evaluated every 6 months.
So what are the benefits of this system? It allows new clients to choose a stylist either based on experience or budget, whichever is most important at that time. It also allows clients to stay with the salon in case they cannot afford the price increase of their current stylist. Since everyone begins with the same education, you can trust that if you need to stay at a price level, you will still receive a quality service.
