A slow and agonizing start

A slow and agonizing start

So all I planned for, all those months of negotiation, seem all for naught.  It seems that the architectural design came in with bids $90,000 too high.  So back to the whole bidding process on some new drawings.  Very little design wise has changed, we are just “value engineering” it.  Shouldn’t everything be value engineered?  It seems almost ridiculous that anyone would go into a project with the idea that “I’m going to spend as much money as possible”.  Isn’t being frugal the reward unto itself?

SO now I wait.  I am getting all of the licensing, taxes insurance and contracts in line.  I’m waiting to order material objects yet though, just because I can get most things in 60 day window, and I have no extra storage.  I want everything sent to the new address anyway.

I’m still so excited , even thought there has been some logistical set backs.  Last week Rachel (Our promotional director) walked around Ybor Centro to meet our new neighbors.  Everyone was so friendly and welcoming.  It made me feel much safer and confident with the decision.  I know it will work, it’s just waiting that’s frustrating.

I’ve created the menu of services for Becky with the help of our Zoya rep.  Amanda was great help with some wonderful advice for where to approach the nail side of business.  I think everyone’s going to be excited.
